Seniors Vs Crime

OurSeniors Radio welcomes Anthony Luizzo, Volunteer for Seniors Vs Crime Program Volusia County and host Julian G. Cantillo. The Seniors vs Crime program in Florida is a statewide initiative that involves consumer-conscious senior citizens volunteering their time and energy to assist the Florida Attorney General’s Office in combating con artists who target seniors. Seniors who participate in the program become part of a network known as “Seniors vs Crime” and work alongside law enforcement agencies to investigate complaints and seek restitution for seniors. The Seniors vs Crime Project handles thousands of cases for seniors each year, aiming to recover money and provide support to victims. Since the establishment of the first local Project Offices in 2001, these offices have handled over 39,000 cases and have successfully recovered funds on behalf of complainants. It is important to note that the Seniors vs Crime Project does not offer legal services or legal representation. Any response provided by the program should not be considered legal advice or a definite statement of the law. If you are a senior citizen in Florida interested in volunteering or seeking assistance from the Seniors vs Crime program, you can contact them at 1-800-203-3099.
