For the past two decades, Adriana Alcalde has been dedicated to assisting victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, police misconduct, human trafficking, and child pornography. As a former prosecutor with the Broward County State Attorney’s Office in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, she gained extensive experience in units such as Homicide, Special Victims, Sex Crimes, Crimes against Children, Domestic Violence, and Public Corruption. Her caseload involved prosecuting individuals accused of various crimes, including Murder, Capital Sexual Battery, Lewd Molestation, Human Trafficking, Computer Crimes, and Child Abuse.
Notably, during her tenure with the Homicide Unit, Adriana achieved a record of never losing a murder trial. She also took on the responsibility of prosecuting police officers and public officials facing charges of official misconduct and corruption. Beyond the courtroom, she has shared her expertise by teaching Law School Seminars, guiding young lawyers in trial and litigation skills.
Adriana Alcalde is a frequent speaker on topics related to civil remedies for victims of sex crimes or police misconduct. She has appeared as a commentator on national and local networks, providing insights into legal issues and discussing her own cases. Holding an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Florida International University and a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, she has successfully conducted over 150 jury trials in both state and federal courts, covering criminal and civil cases.
Currently, she leads a team of lawyers at Eisenberg and Baum, specializing in handling civil cases for survivors of sex crimes.
