About
Teresa has devoted her entire adult life to the legal field. Commencing her career at the age of 22, she worked in various support roles within civil litigation firms. During this period, she earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida and made the decisive choice to pursue a career in law.
At the age of 28, Teresa enrolled in the University of Florida College of Law, where she excelled in her legal studies and graduated with honors in 1987.
Following her law degree, Teresa served for six years as the senior judicial clerk to Chief Judge E. Earle Zehmer at the First District Court of Appeal. In this appellate law clerk role, she reviewed appeals spanning every facet of state law and contributed to drafting numerous appellate opinions released by the court.
After spending four years as a general practitioner in a small law firm, she established her own firm in 1997. Focusing on estate planning, probate and trust settlement, business law, and appellate law, she later expanded her practice to encompass elder law when her parents experienced physical and cognitive decline, and she became deeply involved in caregiving for them.
