Carolyn Sawyer co-founded Sawyer & Sawyer, P.A. alongside her husband, Thomas G. Sawyer, M.D., J.D., in 1994, driven by their shared commitment to serving the community through Elder Law practice. With a dedicated focus on safeguarding the elderly, Carolyn played a key role in initiating and supporting various annual multidisciplinary workshops on Elder Exploitation in collaboration with the Florida Office of the Attorney General. She actively contributed to a committee led by Florida House Representative Kathleen Passidomo, resulting in groundbreaking legislation addressing criminal elder exploitation. Carolyn retired in 2021 and presently provides advisory support.
