About Ocala CBOC
Ocala Veterans Affairs (VA) Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) is structured to improve healthcare accessibility for Veterans living in the neighboring rural areas. Through this clinic, Veterans can avail themselves of Primary Care, Mental Health, Social Work, Laboratory, and various Specialties through TeleHealth services.
Vet Centers serve as accessible counseling centers right in your community. Staffed by compassionate counselors and devoted team members, these centers are dedicated to helping you navigate the challenges of life both during and after military service.
Services
- Counseling Services: Vet Centers provide counseling at an individual level, in groups, in families and in marriages. Such services aim at handling mental health problems like depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and military sexual trauma (MST). This can support making positive changes for such individuals and assisting them to heal as well as get adjusted.
- Readjustment Counseling: Focused on helping veterans make the transition from military to civilian life. These include reintegration coping mechanisms, dealing with trauma while serving, and adapting to adjustments related to family relationships or social ones.
- Bereavement Counseling: For families who have lost a loved one in military service, Vet Centers provide counseling to help manage grief and navigate the emotional challenges of loss.
- Military Sexual Trauma (MST) Counseling: Regardless of gender vet centers offer confidential counseling and support for veterans who experienced sexual harassment or assault during their time in the military.
