It’s all about OurSeniors Family

Senior Having Dinner With Family - Slider

OurSeniors Vendors, Readers, Subscribers, and Donors

Did you know that just last year, 1.3 million older adults expected to be lonely during the holidays? This is one of the reasons we do what we do at OurSeniors, to raise awareness for the older adults in our communities and to help bridge the gap between seniors and the combination of communication and company. Speaking of bridging gaps…with the holidays approaching, have you given any thought about who you haven’t spoken to in a while or who would benefit from or simply enjoy a visit from you?

This holiday season, we want to encourage you to start filling those gaps between you and family or friends you may have lost touch with and to watch the difference it makes for both you and them.

It’s All About OurSeniors Radio Show

Just like the holidays get everyone’s attention, were you aware that the radio still reaches 82% of adults on a weekly basis? That’s because people love live news and information but don’t always have the time to tune in visually. The radio means you get the information you want and that you didn’t know you needed while you’re on the go. Of course, that doesn’t mean you have to be on the go to enjoy your favorite radio show. Sometimes it’s just a good tactic for relaxation and a no-stress option for tuning into current events. The OurSeniors radio show is all about bringing seniors and their families, our supporters, and our entire readership, information that suits their interests and their questions.

Every Saturday at 8 am on WNDB Radio FM 93.5 & AM 1150, you can tune into topics such as “Seniors and Crime”, “Medicare Open Enrollment, and topics related to fraud and scams and whether they are affecting OurSeniors. If you miss an episode, we make it easy for you to catch up, here.

Are You Hungry? For Food…and Knowledge?

If you’ve been craving a special treat from a special menu, we’ve got just the thing to satisfy that craving! On December 8th, at D.B. Pickles, OurSeniors will be hosting our next Lunch and Learn event featuring Dr. Stephen Quaning. All attendees will have access to a free ‘special menu’ and the chance to learn all about MetroHealth. To take advantage of this event, you can find details here.

As always, the OurSeniors team wants to encourage you to follow our journeys. This includes the events we host, the radio shows we have, and the other initiatives we support. To learn more about what we do, visit ourseniors.net today.
