We observe Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, a day that serves to remind everyone about the devastating events that took place on this particular date back in 1941.
Franklin D. Roosevelt declared it would be known as “a date that will live in infamy” because the unprovoked attack conducted by the Japanese Imperial Army led to the loss of more than 2,000 lives. The U. S. Navy suffered a great loss with four important battleships sinking and another four incurring damage; additionally, many hundreds of planes faced destruction or sustained harm. Our intention is to show respect to the deceased, their surviving relatives, and all people impacted by this painful episode in history. We are obligated to remember it forever!
