The regulatory oversight for their PHC and DPO operations, including financial operations and policy, falls under the purview of the Office of Insurance Regulation. Plan operations, covering aspects like the quality of care and provider access, are overseen by the Agency for Health Care Administration.
Prepaid Health Clinics organize healthcare services on a managed care basis. This means FHS coordinates medical services through a network of credentialed and contracted providers, including physicians (primary and specialty), diagnostic professionals, and other healthcare practitioners, in an organized and cost-effective manner. The DPO provides access and the right to receive medical services from a network of health service providers at a substantial discount.
