Yes, thank you to all of our Veterans, go out of your way to thank them!

Dear OurSeniors.net Readers, Supporters, Donors and Followers,

It’s Veterans Day on November 11, yes this coming Tuesday! OurSeniors.net would like to honor the nation’s veterans and especially those who are readers. Please send in a photo of veterans you know and we will give a shoutout to them on our website this Veterans Day!

As many of us may know, Veterans Day was when World War I ended, and fighting ceased with an armistice between Allied nations and Germany. It happened on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. Although the holiday was initially meant to honor those veterans of World War I, it turned into an observance day for all those who have fought toward the effort of peace during war.
Being a veteran myself, I have found it important to ensure our veterans are always honored and taken care of. What we like to do is team up with organizations that focus on veterans’ services so our senior veterans know what benefits can be provided to them.

As a reminder, please don’t forget to thank our veterans, just a simple “thank you for your service” when you see them!
