Seniors Parachute

Did you know that having a bucket list can improve your life in various ways? Not only that, there’s often a misconception that you can get too old to have a bucket list. That’s far from the truth, and 93-year-old Peggy Gruner proved to everyone that your age doesn’t matter as she zip-lined through Mall of America.

She crossed something off of her bucket list at 93 years old while encouraging other seniors to do the same. She proved that you can fulfill your dreams and get a rush from the things that excite you at any age. It’s never too late to make a bucket list! Even if you’re a senior, as you can see.

Your List Can Be as Simple or as Complex as You Want

Keep in mind that your bucket list can be anything you want it to be. It doesn’t have to consist of international trips, expensive excursions, or take weeks or months to do. No matter what you’ve wanted to do in life, if you haven’t done it before, add it to your list. It could be simple things like:

  • Playing laser tag
  • Getting a tattoo
  • Seeing a singer that you like in concert
  • Visiting the statue of liberty
  • Learning to sew

Having a list is the main purpose here. 95% of Americans have bucket lists. The thing that you have to think about though, is how many of them complete their entire list. Or, better yet, how many don’t. Of course, keep in mind that things happen and while life does alter our ability to do certain things we may want to do, consider other options such as VR tours and trips.

How Can Having a Bucket List Increase Your Health?

There are many benefits to having a bucket list, and one of the most important is that it can help improve your health. By setting goals for yourself and working towards accomplishing them, you can increase your sense of motivation and well-being. This can lead to reduced stress levels, better sleep quality, improved physical health, lowered blood pressure, and more. And by engaging in challenging and rewarding activities like skydiving or traveling abroad, you may also reap mental health benefits like increased self-confidence and improved mood. So if you’re looking for ways to improve your overall health and well-being, consider starting a bucket list.

Give It a Try

No matter what you decide to do, just remember that having a bucket list is all about following your dreams and making memories. You don’t have to do it alone either. You can do it with family or a friend. As a senior living in Florida, you will also have the opportunity to do a lot of things right in your own area.

So start thinking about what you want to do and what you haven’t done and get out there and experience something new. You can even do things you may have done a long time ago that you enjoyed. Who knows, you might just find a new favorite hobby along the way.
