Don’t Forget to Mark Your Calendar for Valentine’s Day at Culver’s Daytona
Valentine’s Day is often misconceived as a day made by candy companies and big businesses with a high-end goal of making a profit from love and relationships but did you know that it actually originated as a Christian feast day? Most people don’t know this and only consider it a day to buy balloons and teddy bears but Valentine’s Day was actually a day used to honor early Christian martyrs; Saint Valentine of Rome and Valentine of Terni. It is a day to celebrate love and togetherness across different regions and you can do this in a variety of ways. One of the best ways to do this is by supporting a cause that you believe in and sharing delicious food with those that you care about or with anyone that you think could use a smile or kind gesture. With that, we hope you mark your calendars to join us on Valentine’s Day at the Daytona Culver’s location between 4 pm and 8 pm.
Phil the Groundhog Has Been Getting It Right So Far
Did you know that Phil the groundhog is usually only right 40% of the time? However, while he isn’t always accurate, he has been so far for 2023 and we can all look forward to six more weeks of winter. In Florida, that might not mean too much with average temperatures for the state being 72 degrees. While we usually expect milder temperatures throughout the state, you can expect a bit colder and rainier weather over the next few weeks depending on your location. If you’re a senior living in Florida, consider using this time to explore new hobbies and events that you can participate in as we approach spring.
The Winner of Superbowl LVII
The Eagles came close to success this year but the Chiefs took the win of Super Bowl 57 with a score of 38-35. It’s interesting that the expected odds of the game weren’t quite accurate with Philadelphia expected to take the win on Superbowl Sunday. It was the Eagle’s second time taking the field for the Super Bowl in the past six years but they have made the cut four times since 1981. Out of those four times Philadelphia has gone to the Super Bowl, they did take a win over the Patriots in Super Bowl LII. The Kansas City Chiefs, however, have made five appearances in the Super Bowl and have taken three wins, with this year, 2023 being their latest.
