Help Protect Our Seniors!

Silver alert

Silver alertTwo weeks ago, we spoke about the disappearance of a woman with dementia who was last seen walking through a plaza alone. She has not been heard from since and is believed to be abducted by a stranger. The Sheriff’s department only issued a 1.5-mile radius search because the woman was not driving a vehicle. This scenario should have definitely been considered a Silver alert. Because of the criterion that a missing senior must be traveling by motor vehicle, the opportunity to find the missing woman has severely narrowed. There are so many ways a senior can travel; not all move around in cars. This requirement is too specific and is stealing away needed help to so many people in need. With your support, we can change this outdated and narrow measure. Please help us reach the senate and state Governor by signing the Silver Alert petition. Our voices can be heard, and we can create change together. Do not wait until this happens to somebody you love. Act now. Together we are strong. We are counting on you! Sign the petition here.
