Never Forget 9-11

9-11

OurSeniors Vendors, Readers, Subscribers, and Donors

As fall quickly approaches, there is a lot to prepare for, keep track of, and participate in. Luckily, the OurSeniors team coordinates events that will be both useful, fun, and enjoyable which makes for the perfect plans as we head into the next season. Additionally, while there are multiple things we want to help you prepare for, we do want to take some time to ensure that we reflect on important things that have occurred in history because the memories that we keep alive today will help them to remain in the thoughts of others.

Remembering Those That Were Lost

September 11, 2001, is a day that is etched into the memory of everyone in modern history today. On that day, the world saw the active destruction and aftermath of an attack that left many people injured and claimed the lives of 2,996 people.

Families were torn apart, loved ones and friends were lost, and so was the peace of mind for not just the nation but on a global scale as well. While so many people lost so much on that day, those who perished will never be forgotten.

This day also brought about the resilience, courage, and unity of everyone who responded during that time from first responders to ordinary citizens and these are all reasons to keep the lives of those lost in your thoughts and the efforts of those who helped in your prayers.

Keep Your Calendar Updated

If you’re an avid reader of OurSeniors Magazine or you’re a general supporter of ours, you know that we love to prioritize useful resources for seniors throughout the different communities we are able to reach. With that being said, there is another opportunity coming up that we want to extend an invitation for. Make sure to mark your calendar for September 15th for our next Lunch and Learn event at Volusia Memorial Ormond Beach.

From 11 am to 1 pm, you will have the opportunity to get a firm grasp on planning ahead from what that actually entails to how to put your plans into action. You will also get a professional view of estate and Medicaid planning as well as veteran benefits for aid and attendance from a certified tax attorney.

Make Sure You Stay on the Lookout

Considering we’re in Florida, you might not be able to feel the shift in seasons coming but fall is right around the corner. This means that the fall edition of OurSeniors Magazine is coming out and you have a lot to be excited for. From fresh content and perspectives to activities that will almost plan the entire season for you, we want to make sure you stay on the lookout for its release.

While our magazine releases are always something to keep on your calendar, we want to encourage you to stay up to date with other events we promote as well, and to make that simple for you, you can find out more here.

We hope to encourage you to hold your loved ones close as we approach another anniversary of 09/11 and to remember those who paid the ultimate price on that day and we hope that you encourage others to do the same.
