Social Distancing

Social DistancingSeniors, thanks to the thoughtful and heroic actions by many to minimize the spread of COVID-19, Florida is re-opening her doors. The curve is flattening statewide in Florida, and we are currently on a downward trajectory of emergency hospital visits for COVID-19-like symptoms. Governor DeSantis has decided to take the lead and re-open our economy one step at a time. Phase one of Florida’s version of the White House’s Opening Up America Again plan has been initiated. This means that we are now able to visit our favorite local restaurants, large venues like movie theaters, and beaches! For now, theme parks, large sporting events, and bars (nightclubs) will remain closed. So, step outside and enjoy the spring breeze. Dine at your favorite spot or head to the beach and catch some rays. Just remember to continue practicing social distancing, good hygiene, and stay away from groups bigger than ten people. If you are high risk, be precautious and remain at home. This crisis will be over before you know it; the sun is already beginning to peek through the clouds.
Readers, if you have a fever, cough, and difficulty breathing, call your nearest medical facility and seek care right away. If you have an underlying condition like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, or respiratory conditions, shelter in place and stay away from others or crowded areas, for the most up-to-date information about the Coronavirus, visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
