Doug Doescher had seen a great deal of the world before settling in the Daytona Beach area, the “Fun Coast” of Florida, as he terms it. As an engineer on oil drilling platforms in distant places, he had observed the world, its people and cultures. Nowadays, Doug is happy to be home with the people and culture of the Fun Coast of Florida from Flagler Beach to Edgewater.
Doug’s career more or less ‘evolved’ into the real estate profession. Thirty years ago, he began investing in rental properties in Alaska, Maryland and Florida. After he had purchased his third property in Florida, he took some advice from the Realtor® who had helped him with the transaction- he became a real estate agent himself. Doug earned his State of Florida Sales Agent license early in 2005 and has enjoyed his professional real estate career since. He is now associated with Coldwell Banker Coast Realty, an independently owned franchise of the national company.
When not working, Doug enjoys cooking and baking. Seven years ago, he built his own wood-fired oven in which he now makes bread and pizza. He also does volunteer work for Great Dawg Rescue, a non-profit that rescues canines (mostly Labrador Retrievers) from shelters where they would otherwise be euthanized. These ‘lucky dogs’ are vetted, socialized and adopted by pet owners who will love and care for them.
