After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Stetson University, she taught high school for 13 years. While a full-time teacher, she earned an MBA from the University of Central Florida. As a student and graduate student, she was selected for membership in both the Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies. In law school, she was a teaching and research assistant, earned the Dean’s Certificate for Pro Bono Work and became an award winning oralist for the Jessup International Moot Court Competition. As a practicing attorney, she has been recognized by her peers and honored by election to offices, including the president’s position, in both the Volusia County Bar Association and the Volusia-Flagler Association for Women Lawyers.
Outside the legal profession, she has been a member of the Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, a winner of the 2013 Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce Leadership Award and is a former Chairperson of the PACE Center for Girls.
